Malaysia to be represented at the Asia Finals in August
Kuala Lumpur, 4 June 2025 — nanoSkunkWorkX (nSWX) has been named Grand Winner of Tech Planter Malaysia 2025, following a competitive deeptech showcase held in Kuala Lumpur by Leave a Nest.
The team will represent Malaysia at the Tech Planter Asia Finals this coming August 2025, alongside fellow Malaysian finalist Lestagro.
Founded by Dr. Amani Salim and Iqbal Shamsul, nSWX builds graphene-powered hardware for hydrogen production, AI acceleration, and ultra-low-cost diagnostics. The company’s platform—called SUSANNE—enables cleanroom-free, foundry-free graphene device fabrication, developed originally from post-NASA biosensing research.
“What began as a side project after orbit is now becoming real infrastructure,” said Iqbal Shamsul, co-founder and CEO. “We’re honoured to represent Malaysia—and frontier deeptech from Southeast Asia—on the Asia stage.”
